Thermal imaging uses an infrared camera to measure surface temperature differences across walls, ceilings, floors, and mechanical systems. Because heat and moisture change how surfaces radiate energy, the camera can reveal hidden conditions – wet insulation, air leaks, overheating wires – that look completely normal to the naked eye.
Is thermal imaging included in a standard home inspection?
Thermal imaging is an add-on service, not part of the standard inspection. You can add it to any Homesight home inspection for $275, or book it as a standalone service for $325. Our office can add it when you schedule or when the inspector arrives.
